This weeks Recipe!

This weeks recipe is Chocolate Oatmeal No Bake Cookies! I use to have these when I was in elementary school and I adore them! Today, I saw a post on Facebook about these and I immediately went to the kitchen and made some! It was like 7:00AM haha. Anyways, I also read that it takes time to make these 100% perfect, and I do agree. I did make some choices to add/take away as I was cooking. I hope you all love this recipe as much as I do :)

Chocolate Oatmeal No Bake Cookies
Prep Time: 5 mins-Total Time: 6 mins- Yield: 24 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (you can use chunky, but it tends to make the cookies crumbly and dry)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3-3 1/2 cups dry quick-cooking oats
Directions
  1. Add the FIRST FOUR ingredients into a 4-quart sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil and hold for 1 minute.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add peanut butter in the hot mixture and stir until melted.
  5. Add in vanilla. (almond extract is good also, but I only use 1/2 teaspoon almond and 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla)
  6. Mix in the oats and drop by tablespoons onto wax paper.
  7. Let cool until set.

Spring Flowers!!!!!

I am like addicted to Spring coming in after the cold months. Here in Alabama, weather is crazy! So anyways, I am like flower crazy right now, So I figured I would share some photos of my flowers that I have so far!!! First of all, my camera was going dead, so the photos are not that great, second, if you would like any tutorials on how to do anything on these things posted that I made, please ask me I would love to post them! Ok, so here goes!!!! :)
This is my first flower that I got this year, not sure what its called, but it is just starting to bloom and I just adore it! Yes, that is one of my mothers plates, don't hate :)
These are daisies that Tyler got me! I love daisies, and I love all 3 colors in these! It was funny because they came in the wrapper like this, and I love all 3 colors, I put those bad boys in a vase sat em on my desk in my bedroom and boy am I enjoying them!
These ARE NOT real! Ha-HA anyways, Like the de-labeling the jars, I am also addicted to saving wine bottles and de-labeling them as well (totally normal right?!?) Anyways, I took the label off and painted it white(2 coats) and I went to Michaels in search for a flower to put in there, I ended up finding this bunch of flowers together, they were on sale! Originally they were ~$10 but I got them on sale for $3!!!!! I was lucky that day I say! If you need a tutorial on this project, ask me!

Hope you enjoy :) Megan

Happy Easter!!!

I adore Easter, things are so cute around this time, plus it means Spring/Summer is right around the corner!!! That just gets me all excited! Im one of those people that when its the hottest, I wish it was cold, and when its like cold and snowing I want it to be hot again, so, I am cheering the hot weather to come! Anyways, since this year is the first year that I have a house to call mine, I am decorating like crazy for holidays and the upcoming months ahead, and since Easter is coming, I wanted to share my table centerpiece with you guys! My cameras battery was dying, so I am so sorry for the crappy photo quality!
So, here it is, and as usually I did make this, The container is just a pickle jar I de-labeled(so addicted to doing this) and I used strips of colored tulle in Easter/Spring colors and layered them into the jar. I used grosgrain ribbon that I have to use for my hair bows, the flowers I got from the craft store and stick down in there, I didnt use anything to hold it in there, I just stuck them! That little chick on top was used at my high school job, we were promoting a chicken food item and we got these to put on our hats and I saved mine! The little chicks standing beside the jar I got from Target, they were only $1 for two! Are  they just adorable! I couldn't resist to get them!

If you would like any tutorial on any of these crafts, like this as a whole, de-labeling a jar or anything, please ask me, I would love to post them!
Hope you enjoy!
